"Hallelujah" is another well known Eurovision winner from, giving Israeli victory in Jerusalem, following the success of "A-Ba Ni-Bi" a year earlier. Following its victory "Hallelujah" become a multi-million selling single and a huge hit all over Europe. However outside of Israel little
was heard of with Gali Atari or Milk And Honey afterwards, and they became "one hit wonders". You can watch the Eurovision performance here.
Despite its huge success, there were comparatively few cover versions of "Hellelujah" ever recorded. We come bang up to date with the Australian Jewish punk band Yidcore (right) who recently recorded the song, giving it an entirely different interpretation, that may not be to everyone's taste.
