EUROVISION" CD |
To mark the
"Congratulations" show in Copenhagen and the 50th
birthday of the Eurovision Song Contest there is also a
series of CDs and DVDs being released throughout Europe on October
17th. Below you can find the track listing of the two double CDs.
The track listing for the DVDs has yet to be made public, but it is
believed that it will be similar to the CDs. If there are
differences I will add the DVD listing when it is known.
There are some rather unusual
choices on the track listing, both in terms of what is including and
what has been omitted. For example the Irish entry from 1969
"Wages Of Love", was less successful than our entries in
1965-67, but is included while the others are not. Other surprising omissions
include "Knock, Knock, Who's There" (UK 1970) "Si"
(Italy 1974), "Un, Deux, Trois" (France 1976), "Chai"
(Isreal 1983), "Terminal 3" (Ireland 1984), "Dinle"
(Turkey" 1997) and "Lane Moja" (Serbia &
Montenegro 2004). Quite why "Ey Sham" (Israel 1973),
"Ein Lied Kann Eine Brücke Sein" (Germany 1975), "Ik Hou Van Jou"
(Netherlands 1984) or "Je N’ai Que Mon Âme"
(2001) make the list, is hard to understand, given that none of them
made the Top 3 at Eurovision and didn't become international hits
either.
